Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Three events to keep track of: Windham Elementary Winter Concert will be on Monday, December 11th at 6:30.

Holiday Chorus at Leland and Gray on Wednesday, December 13.

Windham Congregational Church event on Sunday, December 17th at 6:00.

Same old same old: We still have kids that show up with no mittens or hats. Then they are cold on the playground. We are trying to help kids be organized at the end of the day, and bring their things back home. It will help them keep track of hats, mittens and snow pants if you can mark them by sewing colored buttons or colored thread on their outdoor wear, putting identifying patches on their clothes or marking  with a black marker makes easier for them us to identify.

Important: Since we are doing painting Monday afternoons with acrylic paints in December, it will help if you dress your child in an old shirt or blouse, so it does not get ruined. Even though they wear paint shirts that does not keep the shirt sleeves from getting paint on them. Thank you.

The kids have had a fun active week outside. A couple of the days were perfect for playing hide and seek. This involved hiding in all sorts of out of the way places and racing back to get home before the “IT” person. Lots of laughter and rosy red cheeks.

The week before vacation they made snowmen.  Very changeable weather here.

 Everyone have a good weekend.
