Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Windham Congregational Church event this Sunday, December 17th at 6:00.

We will be singing at Valley Cares this afternoon the 15th. Remember: Second bus kids will be early getting home early, coming up with high school kids

Crafts on Tuesday, the 19th in the afternoon.  Mrs. Kehoe is in charge of coordinating it and would like the crafters to let her know by Friday the 15th what they will be creating. We will set tables up Monday afternoon so it is not quite so hectic on Tuesday. Then crafters will not have to rush…giving them time to make sure they have everything.

Gift exchange will be Wednesday, December 20. We will have an All School meeting around 11:00 and the gift exchange at 11:15.

Skating at Vermont Academy on the 21st. This is the last day before the holiday begins and it is a half day. We will be going by car, and need volunteer drivers. The plan is to deliver the kids home on the way back at noon time. The most important items to remember are their helmets and skates. Children also need snow pants, hats, gloves and long warm socks. Short socks don’t protect their ankles and kids get blisters.

The school attended the pre-holiday concert at Leland and Gray on Tuesday. We got a chance to see Mary McDonald and Lillie Beshay up front in the chorus. Mary sang a solo too. Sitting that long was rather rough for the kindergartners, but they all behaved well, just got antsy.

Thank you everyone for the nice turn out at our holiday concert Monday night. When it gets as cold as it is now it is not fun to pack everyone into a cold car to come here and then pack them into the cold car again to go home.  Everyone sang very well. The kindergartners were great in their first performance here at Windham Elementary.

Ok, that is it.  Keeping it short so you can get on with all the things that need to be done before the holidays.

Everyone have a nice weekend.
