“Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Our winter concert was a great success. Everyone was here, and the room packed with proud parents and relatives. Sally and Ms. Ullmann do a great job with a very diverse selection of songs.

Monday, December 22nd will be our school craft and present making day in the afternoon.

Sally has scheduled Tuesday, December 23rd as our skating day.  Teachers and parents will be drivers. Lunch for everyone back here at noon. Later in the afternoon will be the gift exchange. Children need to remember to bring skates if they have them. We are fitting those that don’t here at school. Children also need helmets. A bike helmet is fine. We have extras at school.

Beth McDonald asked us to send out an invitation in this week’s newsletterChristmas Open House Potluck this Friday at 6:30 at the McDonalds. Snow clothes for kids. This is a fun time where your kids will want their snow suits to play outside. Turn at the four corners past the school, take Abbott road, then left on Woodburn Rd., number 219, big blue house on the left.  Telephone #874-4015.

Sally’s class have been making old fashioned sock dolls with Susan Persa as their helper. Other kids are sawing wood to make boats. They cut the different sizes for the different stories of the boat, nail the boat together, and add the stack.  Some of the kids are making railings out of nails with twine weaved through for a railing. Lots and lots of noise, but very impressive results.

Mr. PJ’s class are doing a report on the water cycle. Each one is making a poster of the water cycle and typing a paper on their Chromebooks. So far they are all doing a very impressive job.

There is a good size collection of gifts here for the gift exchange on Tuesday. If your child hasn't brought in a gift for the exchange please be sure to do so on Monday. Thank you.
