Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn, Safe

On Wednesday we visited Robert DuGrenier’s Glass Blowing Studio. The art of blowing glass is ages old and an incredible experience to see.  technique that involves inflating molten glass into a bubble (or parison), with the aid of a blowpipe (or blow tube).Watching was like magic being performed.

It is going real well with the winter boots, jacket and gloves. Kids are in the rhythm of getting them on for recess, but a difference of opinion can happen at the end of the day when it is time to go home on the bus. They prefer to leave them here.   Let us know if you feel differently.

This Friday, December 2nd, is Open Mic night at the West Townshend Store Pizza night. We are hoping to get enough Windham kids to sing and/or play ukulele at 6PM

VEEP will be here working on energy literacy, teaching in-class workshops and green energy usage on Wednesday the 7th.  Sally’s class in the morning, Mr. PJ’s class in the afternoon.

Our Holiday Concert is Monday, December 12 at 6:30.

For 5 days (December 14 through December 20) we will have Betty Young, our District Math consultant expert here working with our students and teachers.

Friday, December 16, we will go by bus to Valley Cares to sing to the residents. This is an afternoon of smiles from our students and the residents. A feel good time for everyone.

December 21 will be a busy day. We will go to Vermont Academy for skating, back in time for lunch, a short recess and then to the fashioning of holiday crafts. We will have our gift exchange the last twenty minutes of school. You will hear more about the gift exchange in the next week or so.

On Monday, December 5, at 6PM, there will be a cloth bag making workshop for kids at the West Townshend Store. The cost to cover materials is $5.00 per bag. These would make nice Christmas gifts for kids to give.

Gift exchange names were drawn today. Mrs. Kehoe will send home an envelope with the name in it next week. This is a small token gift, (5 dollars).
