Grafton Nature Museum for Kindergartners: Planet Protector, Thursday, December 1810:00-11:30 AMThrough the use of a puppet show and activities the children will become aware of what waste is, the problem it has become, and how they can make a difference.

Monday, December 22nd will be our craft and present making day in the afternoon. Please talk to Cindy as soon as possible about any idea you have for a project so we can collect all that is needed. And so we would not have any duplicate crafts that day.

Sally is hoping to schedule Tuesday, December 23rd as our skating day. It is usually in the morning, at Vermont Academy, getting back in time for lunch. Present exchange at the end of the day. The students picked names from their classroom.  Please limit your gift to $ 5. - $10., and return gift to school no later than Dec. 19.  The teachers will provide a hot lunch that day.

Monday, before the thanksgiving holiday, we had a wonderful craft afternoon at school. Mr. PJ made bows and arrows outside with students.  Crafts happening inside were weaving with the Art teacher, or writing a story using Indian sign language.  Others were outside in the tepee with Sally cooking deer and bear meat over a fire with a side of corn bread. The kids loved the bear meat and kept running back into the kitchen to grab chunks of bear meat to eat.

Tuesday, (before Thanksgiving) the Students Reward Day, for being Safe, Responsible, Respectful and Ready to Learn was a huge hit. Most kids and the teachers showed up in pajamas.  Midway through the morning they rolled out pizza dough that Sally had mixed up and made the pizzas. There was more than enough to eat. After lunch was play and craft time in the All Purpose room with Legos, large wooden blocks, and the rice table.

We have another All You can Eat Pasta Supper coming up on Friday, December 12th from 5:00 to 7:00The Art Gala part of the evening is a fundraiser for the Parents Group.  Getting ready for the Art Gala will be photography this coming Monday, (the 8th), with Amy Carson and Alex and Lisa Beshay from3:00 to 4:00. They will be decorating vases and votives with Amy Carson, Claudia Holmes and Lisa Beshay. Please be sure to send in a note letting us know if your child can plans to stay after on the 8th or 11th.
