Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Susan Persa has gifted us with her usual beautiful homemade wreath on the front of the school. It is here just in time for our concert on Monday evening. Check it out. Thank you Susan.

Windham Elementary Winter Concert will be on Monday, December 11th at 6:30. Kids should be here by 6:15.

Holiday Chorus at Leland and Gray on Wednesday, December 13 at 7PM.

Leland and Gray will be performing their Winter Concert for the elementary schools next Wednesday, December 13th from 9:45 to 10:45am.  The high school and middle school choirs and bands will be performing. We will leave by bus at 9:15 to watch this.

Windham Congregational Church event on Sunday, December 17th at 6:00.

We will be singing at Valley Cares on the afternoon of the 15th.  This is one of our bigger events of the year.  Everyone sings and smiles, the kids, the old folks, the help at the home. The kids with their smiles, singing and swinging bodies, and enthusiasm pretty much brings the whole residence to a standstill.  Remember: Second bus kids will be early getting home coming up with high school kids. (Oh, and Warren Patrick is there every year in the front row. He is 106 years old). You can look him up online.

Crafts on Tuesday, the 19th in the afternoon.  Mrs. Kehoe is in charge of coordinating it and would like the crafters to let her know by Friday the 15th what they will be creating. We will set tables up Monday afternoon so it is not quite so hectic on Tuesday. Then crafters would be set up and not have to rush…giving them time to make sure they have everything.

Gift exchange will be Wednesday, December 20. We will have an All School meeting around 11:00 and the gift exchange at 11:15. Names were picked this week. We sent home an email telling whose name your child drew.

Skating at Vermont Academy on the 21st. This is the last day before the holiday begins and it is a half day. We will be going by car, and need volunteer drivers. The plan is to deliver the kids home on the way back at noon time.  We are getting the extra skates down this week for the kids to try on. We have sent a sheet home with each child to let us know what they have or what they will need. The most important item to remember is that everyone has to wear a helmet.
