“Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

The NAEP test is next Wednesday for the 4th grade students and people will be coming here to administer it in the morning. The third, fifth and sixth  graders will be going to the  all purpose room while the test is happening.

Due to the testing in the morning, we will not be having winter sports next WednesdayWe will have a regular school day.  In the afternoon we may take all the kids out back to cross country ski for a time.

No school on Tuesday. It is town meeting day.  See you there.

The afternoon at Kehoe’s was windy but sunny. There was skating, sliding, skiing and a crowd full of smiles. Thanks again to Bob and Cindy for this great time each winter. Bob grooms the hill for sliding and skiing.  Their pond is cleared with a nice fire going in their warming shed. This is the kind of afternoon many people pay good money for and we get it all free.  Thanks again to the Kehoes and all the parents who help with transportation, snacks and stay to enjoy the afternoon fun.

We want to thank all the parents who helped pick up and returned all the tables and chairs to their proper places in the All Purpose room after our dance on Friday the 13th. This is extremely helpful. We also want to thank Lisa Beshay for organizing the potluck and dance and Claudia for all the yummy desserts.  Sally and Michael played songs the kids have learned the dances to during our Tuesday morning school meetings. This gave the kids a chance to show off their smooth dancing to their parents. Three year old Ivy Packard never missed a square dance.

Notice: it is important that parents let their children off by the telephone pole, near the spot where the bus parks, then back up and leave by way of the upper part of the driveway where they drove in.  Several reasons for this. The major one is exhaust fumes from the cars getting into the school. The other is that parents have never driven straight through the driveway and the kids are really not used to vehicles going through the driveway. When the kids head out the door to recess they are on the run and not looking for vehicles. Thank you.
