Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to learn”

Our school sends out many thanks to Jerry Dyke for the homemade mitten dryer he made for us. Very ingenious. He even arranged the mittens and hats on the dryers after he set it up. It is nice being able to count on towns people to help out. Thank you, thank you. Just in time for the wet snow we are going to get with spring coming along!!

We are still looking for more people to come in and be mystery readers in Sally's class. A good time seems to be on Tuesday's around two o'clock. As a reader you do not need to stress about what you pick for a choice to read. At the end of your story, there will be a few kids that will ask “ Can you read that again?” . They love all books.

Back to normal activities again after vacation. There is skiing on Wednesday afternoon, zentangle after school on Thursdays, yoga once a week. There is talk of making up the cake walk, potluck and dance on Friday, March 28th,, It was disappointing Claudia did not get to do her cake decorating class before vacation, so that too will be getting fit in before the dance.

Next Thursday instead of zentangle Antje will be doing clay. The students know and are looking forward to it. Antje has the clay. They will mold their clay and Antje will take it to Londonderry to be fired. Come with them and get creative....see you here.

Everyone came back looking rested with lots to tell each other about their vacation. The high, high snowbanks are a huge hit at recess time. Tunnel making, sliding down them, seeing who is the highest on the mountain, playing different imaginary characters. We have two boys who have a cruise ship that they are in every recess. This involves ticket taking, watching for whales, worrying about passengers getting sick or taking another boat, and this week about the ship freezing in the ice. So neat to listen to this ongoing story.

Tonight at the Townshend Community Store is Open Mic and the last night for tacos. Next week pizza will start up again.
