“Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Well, we thought we were going to get a big amount of snow, but as you know, it never happened.  What we really need is a sunny January thaw.

In art last week the older grades made Japanese braids. It was the second week they had worked on them and by this last Monday they were able to take them home and finish them.  Braiding is a nice choice for a calm time when just hanging out. The kids braided some nice colors together.

In case anyone has forgot, February vacation is zooming in on us. We have the third week of February off.

Martin Luther King Day: Sally has read several books about Martin Luther King to her class. Mr. PJ’s class is doing a class room reading of the book.

Tomorrow, Saturday, there will be a dinner and family contra and square dance at the Townshend Town Hall. Dinner begins at six and is free, though people are encouraged to bring an appetizer or dessert to share. Dancing will be from seven to nine. Calling and music will be provided by Sally Newton, Michael Donahue and friends. Beginners are welcome. All dances will be taught.

On Friday, February 13, there will be a potluck and dance at the Windham School. Dinner will be at 5:30. Calling and music will be by Sally and Michael, and begin at 6:30. More details next week.
