Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

From now through year end the newsletter will be a calendar of upcoming events:

Thursday, June 7, we leave at 11:30 to go to the Retreat Farm in Brattleboro. We will be driving in cars and will drop students off on the way home. Pack your child a picnic lunch and plenty of juice, or water especially if it is hot. Important: We will be staying there until 3:00.  So children will not arrive home until around 3:45.

The kindergartners will go to the Grafton Nature Museum Friday, June 8, in the morning. This month’s program is water and all the benefits we derive from water.   Make sure your kids wear their water boots and perhaps bring along a change of clothes.

Our Spring Concert and Art celebration will be Monday, June 11 at 6:30.

The school Field Day will be on Wednesday June 13 after lunch.  It is usually a big water game time. Change of clothes for after would be nice.

Thursday, June 14 is our Walkathon. It will be 9:30 to 11:30. There will be water stations for the kids to get drinks along the way.

Friday, June 15, Mrs. Kehoe and Mr. PJ will be taking his class to the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center in the AM. Then, on the same day after lunch we will be going to Valley Cares by bus. South end kids will be home early with the high school kids, but we will remind you again as the time gets closer.

Monday, June 18, is cleanup day in the rooms and an Awards ceremony late morning.

Tuesday, June 19 is the last day of school. As always we will be going to Hapgood Pond. Leaving at 9:30.  School is over at noon time for anyone who cares to leave. I will be sending out a list of foods needed for the picnic.
