“Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Upcoming event: The whole school will be going to” Meet the Orchestra” at the Latchis Theatre in Brattleboro on March 26. We will be leaving at 8:30 in the morning by bus. The concert starts at 9:30am. That Thursday is a half day for conferences.   On the trip back we will be bringing the high school kids with us, so we will be dropping Elementary School south bound kids off early.

Poetry Night is Friday night, March 27 at the Townshend Country Store. As before students are invited. It does not have to be a poem they wrote, it can be a poem that means something special to them. Everyone and anyone can get up and read a poem.  See you there.

The plan is for next Wednesday to be our last week of skiing.   Grafton has gone from slushy to icy. Now the forecast for next week is a high of 45 degrees. We will know for sure on Tuesday to what the plans are for both the mountain and Grafton.

Kindergartners went to the Nature Museum this Thursday. Very proud of them. They knew what a herbivore and a carnivore were. They could identify three different dinosaurs. They were right on top of the presentation, giving the right answers. The last part of the program was having paper bags taped to their boots, going outside and blowing loudly through empty paper towel tubes, just like the dinosaurs. The Nature Museum is the best place!
