“Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Poetry Night is tonight, March 27 at the Townshend Country Store. Sally’s students have written some great poems.  Bring your child to read a poem and come and read a favorite of yours too. It does not have to be a poem you have written, it can be a poem that means something special to you. Everyone and anyone can get up and read a poem.  See you there.

Last Friday, our music teacher was away.  Students played a great game of musical chairs in the All Purpose room.  The chairs were set up. As the music started the caller had the kids marching, hopping, dancing or jumping around the chairs.  As each person was eliminated Sally built another set of musical chairs on the side of the room. So as the original kids were still trying to be a winner, the “so called losers” were having a great time playing musical chairs with the new set up.  It turned out to be a great time for everyone. No one could be a loser. As a nice finish, they danced “The Noble Duke of York”.

This was the first week of students going to Meadows Bee Farm. They go from 8:00 to 9:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Beth McDonald picks them up and off they go the barnyard to feed the chickens, cows, and sheep. We asked them what they liked best:

Lucca: milking the cow

Jake: milking the cow with his bare hands

Althea: getting to hold a chicken

Maia: feeding the sheep

Rihanna: Feeding the sheep and milking the cow.
