Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Well, this has been a different kind on week. No school on Monday and Tuesday. Half a day on Wednesday due to snow and a snow day on Thursday.   It has been like a continuation of vacation week. Somehow it seemed appropriate to be here in pajamas today since we just could not get enough school time in.

Our school nurse was here this week doing ear testing.   The kids do love it when they are called out of the room.  It makes them feel special, especially the little ones.

Ms. West wanted us to remind everyone that Jump Rope for Heart forms went home and are due back next Thursday. Thank you.

We will be going to the art studio each Monday for the rest of this month.

It was nice to see so many kids at Town Meeting.  They may not sit through it, but this is the beginning of their awareness of the special meeting.

Our last day of school this year will be Monday, June 18, due to the snow day we had yesterday.

We just placed an order for a portable net in the all-purpose room.  This was a big hit with the kids when the PE teacher left it here earlier this winter. We have some balls that are the size of beach balls and are perfect for batting back and forth over the net. They really wake up and get their blood flowing when they get here in the morning and play with it.
