Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Parents: Next Saturday, the 11th, is the Fall Harvest dinner at 5:00 at the Windham Meeting House.  Sally’s ukulele group have been asked to play for everyone after dinner. The kids asked if they could dance too and want their parents and the audience to join in and dance with them.  (They did a warm up dance this morning at All School meeting to be ready for next Saturday. We will get back to parents as to what time to be there in case you were not coming for the dinner.   Come for both, visit with neighbors and friends, have a hot meal and homemade pies. See you there.

So looking up on the internet how much snow we might have had Monday morning, it looks like it could have been at least four feet with a share of it depending on temperature. The colder the temperature the ratio of snow to rain grows. We assume the consensus is that we prefer the rain at this time of the year.

Sally’s science class emptied their rain gauges on Wednesday morning.  There was ice in them and they were getting ready to measure more rain expected on Wednesday night.

Be aware that the whole week of Thanksgiving is time off this year.   Teachers will have two days of school In-Service time on the 20th and 21st.

Reminder: If you want your child to have cough drops, you should send them in with a note to their teacher about how it is to be used.

We had our last Monday at the ceramic studio for the month of October. The children’s work is here and we are planning on sending it home today.

In November we will be doing a month long art project with Mrs. Stradling here at the school. Our last time was fun and interesting. This time will be too.

Oh, and pictures should be here by next Friday.
