Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to learn”

This Saturday, November 9 is the Harvest Supper at the Windham Meeting Housefollowed by square dancing with Sally Newton and the Newton family band. Dinner begins at 5:00. See you there.

Monday, November 11, Veterans Day. No School.

Thursday, Nov 21, preschoolers and kindergartners will be going to Grafton Nature Museum. This month is turkey time, following a young turkey through one year of its life. If they have a puppet show with the turkey and the other creatures of the woods like they did last year, it will be a great program.

Thursday, December 12, our Parent Group will be having a Spaghetti dinner with an art and craft show following. If this is as well done as the Fall Festival it will be another success for them. One of their requests is if you know someone who would like to come and share/teach crafts or art to the adults and kids in preparation of the December show contact Lisa Beshay at 875-5013 or 802-258-1820.

Needed: does anyone have unused bird feeders they would like to donate to the school so we can feed the birds this winter? This will be a great learning experience for the kids. They will be learning how to find and identify them in bird books, counting the different species, counting birds per day, in good weather, bad weather, seeing the difference in a bird that is fluffed in the cold and how it looks when it is warm. Checking out the different personality trait, who hogs the feeders first, listening to the different bird calls, it is unending what they can learn that will last them a lifetime.
