Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to learn”

Parents Group Tag Sale and Fun Day was a huge success. The weather turned out fine, the food was excellent, their raffle had some nice items to bid on, and the games were fun. There was a short moment where the fathers were struggling against the students during tug of war when one of them commented “it would be pretty embarrassing if we lose to the kids”. Just when a camera is needed, there is none to be found. Joel Emmons bought the huge, huge tv at the tag sale. The men helped load it onto our table carrier, and Joel wheeled it down the driveway, down the road and into his driveway. Not only was the event a material success, it was a wonderful day for kids and parents to hang out in the beautiful autumn weather.

Soccer is over for the season. Our Monday game was called due to rain and will not be rescheduled. Our team may be young, but they figured the plays out by the end of the season, putting up a good offense each game. Way to go kids..................So, now uniforms should be washed and returned with a name tag on them.

Fire Safety Day with the firemen was excellent. First we started with a school fire drill , with the students over at the Town Hall waiting when the two trucks came down the road.. They were given a lengthy tour and talk about the trucks. This year the firemen brought both the tanker and the fire truck. For the first time, they let each child hold and spray with the hose at low pressure of course. Otherwise it would be too heavy for them to hold. The firemen presented a short very clear and concise film on fire safety. Then there was an extended question and answer time. The rest of this week has been playing fire trucks during recess for the younger ones..

Don't get the months and dates below confused. I am giving a heads up on future events.
