On Monday, November 7, we will be taking a field trip to the Brattleboro Museum.

Correction about winter sports Oops, we were mistaken about JISP participation.  Students do not have to do any of the sports.  It is considered a half-day of school, and if they choose to go home, we do not mark them absent.  What they will need to do is get a ride home at noon if they are not participating.   Thank you.

Time for the kids to start wearing winter gloves, hats and heavier jackets.  Their hands seem to be the coldest, probably because they are using them playing kickball or basketball. They never like to give up the fight to dress so they are warmer. (A few of them would rather shiver and shake than give up the fight). They protest until the last minute.

We have had kids asking for cough drops. We do give them out, but if you would like your child to take a certain brand, you can send the cough drops to school, with their name on the package and a note to their teacher.

Yes, testing is over. It was fun each morning Mr. PJ scrambling eggs, toasting English muffins, kids lining up to munch and relax before the testing began. Then outside to kick the ball and run around. It is wake up time, relaxation time, food and fuel time and they are ready to go. Thank you parents for your food contributions.

Lunch this week was baked chicken legs again that were wonderful.  Fresh roasted carrots, beets and potatoes from the school garden. Apple crisp was the finishing touch to a perfect meal.

For those of you who like to prepare ahead. Open House will be Thursday, November 17th from 6:30 to 7:30.

Friday, November 11, is a school holiday for Veterans Day.
