4 Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to learn”

Reminder: Parent Night, Tuesday, September 16, 6:30 to 7:30This is a back to school night for parents. There will be a short informational meeting in the gym first. Then we’ll move onto the classrooms to learn about your child’s educational program. Remember, Gail will be here to watch any children that come. If the weather is accommodating, they will be playing outside until it gets too dark.

Soccer: Soccer practice days have changed to Monday and Wednesday. John Pozzi  (Lucca’s dad) and Perry Ryan (Nyah’s dad) are coaching soccer. Practices are going well. This year kids are all about the same size and right off started out as a team.  Each practice 4 yellow team kids play against the 4 blue team, putting a little competition into the mix. Puts a spark in the day.

Home with this week’s newsletter is the Snow Phone List. I know it is early, but if there are any mistakes on numbers or anything is missing or wrong, let us know. This way we can have it right by the time snow falls.

We are planning a trip to Green Mountain Orchards in the beginning of October. This is a trip when we ask parents to go along as chaperones. In order to make this go smoothly, anyone driving will need to get a proof of insurance and a copy of your license to us before the trip.  Thank you. Don’t forget it is pretty easy to get your insurance company to fax a copy to us. Fax: 802-874-4929.

We are still thinking and working on lunches at school.  The Parent Group Meeting was moved to next Thursday, perhaps something will get settled then.

Sally’s class is looking for a few pillows or cushions to use in our reading loft. If you have one you would be willing to donate, please send it in. Thanks.
