Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Spring Concert June 2nd

Please mark your calendars for June 2nd at 6:00 PM for a Spring Concert! The WES students have been working hard all year with Ms. Sally and Ms. Ullman in their weekly music classes. Everyone is excited to share their musical talents with family.

Spring Weather

Having fun out on the playground in the beautiful spring weather that has finally arrived! The grounds are looking good, so students are welcome to wear sneakers out on the playground. We do ask though, that if they only have one pair of sneakers, that they have a pair of slippers at school to change into after playing outside. This helps to keep the wear and tear to our carpets to a minimum with dirt/mud. Mornings are still chilly, so please make sure they have a jacket to wear for morning recess.

On Monday, April 11th the upper grade students went to the Brattleboro Museum and Arts Center for the third and final time this year.  The students viewed sculptures by Roberto Visiani that were made entirely out of cardboard.  Also, they viewed an exhibit with auditory recollections to accompany the art around the room.  Finally, they all made some art with the teaching artist related to the images they were viewing.

Stratton Foundation - Kicks4VTKids

A huge thank you to the Stratton Foundation for their Kicks4Kids program. Thanks to some amazing donors, and their partnership with Shoes That Fit and Bombas, our students were able to receive a new pair of sneakers and socks to welcome the Spring season.
