Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Happy Holiday’s and a Happy New Year!

Thank you to Leland & Gray High School for placing this beautiful appreciation sign at our school! We are all in this together and it is nice to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that each school is putting into make this school year as successful it can be for our students!

This week for outdoor adventure, Ms. Sally and Mr. B took the students for a hike on and around Mr. B’s property.  A very wet, but beautiful snow was falling that day and had a great time exploring and learning how to identify trees and plants now that the winter weather has arrived.

Covid Protocols During Holiday Break
As with the Thanksgiving holiday, the same restrictions are still in place for this holiday break. I will forward any information I receive from our school nurses as it is sent to us to keep everyone updated during break.

As of December 15th, here was the latest update:

UPDATE-   The travel update has not changed this week. It is still not ok to travel out of state except for essential purposes. There is even a request that we don’t travel within Vermont unless essential. The statistics sadly continue to look bleak. Vermont has reached 100 COVID-19 related deaths, but there is hope on the horizon because the COVID-19 vaccine will soon be available.  Front-line health care workers will get the vaccine first, then people who live in extended care facilities.  We have to wait to see when we will be able to get the vaccine. As soon as I know, I will share the information with you. Please continue practicing your vigilance to keep you, your family and community safe, and follow the guidelines to reduce the number of positive cases of COVID-19. We are still not permitted to gather with others not living in the same household, and travel is still restricted.
