Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Reminder that there is no school Monday, February 22-March 2nd due to winter break. See note below about remote day Wednesday, March 3rd.

March 3

We will be giving the WES students an extra day on their Feb/March break and we will NOT be sending school work home with them to have to complete on remote day March 3rd.  For those students who would like to do some sort of work over break, finding a great book(s) to read would be a wonderful way to keep learning and keeping those reading skills sharp! Enjoy the extra day “off” and we look forward to seeing everyone back at WES on Thursday, March 4th!

100th Day

On the 100th day of school, February 18th, WES students were welcomed to school by “Miss Alice”. If you have not heard the story about Miss Alice, ask your students, it was a memorable surprise for their 100th day.

Sewing Badge Project #2

Learning how to make a buttonhole and sew on a button were the new skill sets learned on our second sewing project with Meadows Bee Farm. A couple of our new students that joined us in January also found time to finish the first sewing project too! We are looking forward to seeing what our third and final project will be!

COVID Protocol

UPDATE- No changes in travel for Vermont residents. We are asked not to travel out of state or even within the state except for essential purposes. One of the concerns the health experts have is that the variant COVID virus will be abundant in March, thus continuing vigilant mitigation efforts to prevent contracting and spreading the virus is essential. Remember, if you travel out of state this vacation you must quarantine for 14 days, or, test negative with PCR culture 7 days after returning home. I hope you have a restful, peaceful, and healthy break. Take care of yourself.
