Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Meadows Bee Farm

We are excited to announce that our Windham students finished their first sewing project through the Meadows Bee Farm Young Farmers Program right before the holiday break! They made dream pillows. The second of three total projects was dropped off yesterday, students will begin to pick out fabric choices this week and the goal is to start working on it next week.  Each student will have three projects they will complete to earn their badge.

Holiday Fun

Right before break, the students were able to have two days filled with holiday crafts and outdoor fun at Windham. Special thanks go out to some special Windham community members to allow these two days to happen.

  • Mr. B and Sally for prepping the back fields for an afternoon of cross country skiing. The students had so much fun!

  • Cindy Kehoe for dropping off her box of holiday crafts for the students to enjoy a morning of holiday crafting.

Windham Elementary welcomes new students!
On January 4th we welcomed in three new students to Windham Elementary. Hazel, Oliver and Jaxson we are so happy to have you a part of our Windham family!

COVID Protocol as of January 5, 2020 from Jorda Daigneault, WCSU COVID-19 Coordinator:

UPDATE- No changes in travel for Vermont residents. Sadly, in Vermont there have been over 160 new COVID-19 cases reported on Monday, with a total of almost 150 deaths since the pandemic began. The US has over 350,000 COVID-19 deaths. The Governor and Dr. Levine are waiting for more data to be reported on how the holiday season affected our COVID numbers here in Vermont. I will have that information on Friday. To be redundant, please do not travel for non-essential purposes, even within Vermont.

ESSENTIAL TRAVEL PURPOSES ONLY:

* Work

* Personal safety

* Medical care

* Care of others (that includes ONLY the person providing the care-NOT other family members)

* Parental shared custody

* To perform work for businesses that are currently allowed to operate when necessary.

PLEASE CONTINUE TO BE CAUTIOUS:
