November 12, 2021 Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn” THANK YOU VETERANS! The K-1 students have been learning about how Veterans Day began and what it means to be a veteran. At the end of our study, we made Thank You cards and sent them off to the White River Junction VA Medical Center this week for Veterans Day. Veterans Memorial Plaque Dedication - Letter from Susan Persa Just a reminder for any families that will have their children participating in the dedication ceremony on Sunday November 14th at 2:00 PM at the Windham Meeting House, the event will be held OUTSIDE. Please plan to dress your children warmly. Our town has been working on a special plaque and monument for the honored veterans of our town. We have researched their names back through WWI. It is now in place in front of the meeting house. Sally Newton has taught the students, “My Country, Tis of Thee” and “This Land is Your Land” to sing during the program.
