Habits of Mind: “Safe, Responsible, Respectful, Ready to Learn”

Plans to travel out of state?

Please consult with Vermont Cross State Travel Map:

https://accd.vermont.gov/covid-19/restart/cross-state-travel

before traveling anywhere this weekend. The Cross-State Travel Map has been updated with significant changes that will affect your travel to surrounding areas. Please remember you can only travel to an orange or red county without having to quarantine for the following ESSENTIAL PURPOSES ONLY:

*work

*personal safety

*medical care

*care of others (that includes ONLY the person providing the care-NOT other family members)

*parental shared custody

*for food/beverage or medicine

*to attend school if commuting

*to perform work for businesses that are currently allowed to operate when necessary.

Leisure travel to shop, go to restaurants, visits are NOT considered essential and will require 14-day quarantine.

Please continue to be cautious, we want to keep Windham Elementary open and our families safe and healthy!

Wash your hands

Wear facial coverings

Maintain physical distancing

Stay home if you are unwell

Snow Days

Since the onset of the Covid virus, schools around the country have found that teaching remotely, although certainly not ideal, can continue to keep the education of our students moving along. Therefore, it has been determined by the WCSU district that snow days will be REMOTE learning days this year and not days off from school.

Ms. Sara and Mr. PJ will reach out to families via emails in the morning on snow days with a check-in email that will provide information on what each of your students should work on during that day. In order for your student to be marked as present for attendance on the snow day, we will need to receive a response back to the email that is sent. No response back from the email, your student will be marked absent for the day.
